se non ho capito male il problema è quando airbag "che sono stati esposti al gran caldo e forti tassi di umidità" quando entrano in funzione potrebbero essere pericolosi e non che si possono attivare in autonomia causa contatto tra fili spelati e struttura

In 2015 and 2016, Takata Corporation advised the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a significant number of its driver and passenger airbag inflators that contain a non-desiccated phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant (an ammonium nitrate propellant without a chemical drying agent) are defective.
Prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity and high temperatures may cause the propellant to degrade.
Activation of degraded non-desiccated ammonium nitrate may cause an inflator rupture during normal airbag deployment events, possibly propelling metal fragments through the vehicle cabin that could result in serious injury or death.
